Teleworker Consultations, Remote Evaluations, and In-Person Evaluations
Remote Short Term Consultations (Quick-Fixes for Temporary Telecommuters)
Remote Short Term Consultations are appropriate for workers that are temporarily telecommuting. Remote Short Term Consultations aid in improving employees’ temporary situation to prevent injury and/or to address employees’ minor concerns or discomfort until their return to the office. Short-term quick fixes as well as long term strategies for healthy work habits, work techniques, and general workstation guidelines are included. To request a Remote Short Term Consultation please email the employee’s name and contact information to Susan@OneErgoNet.com with the request for a Remote Short Term Consultation.
Remote Comprehensive Evaluations
Remote Comprehensive Evaluations are appropriate for employees who have pain or discomfort, are requesting Reasonable Accommodation under the ADA, or have Workers’ Compensation Claim, regardless of whether they are temporarily telecommuting and plan on returning to the office in the future, permanently telecommuting, or are working at an office workstation currently.
If an employee is temporarily telecommuting, the Remote Comprehensive Evaluation aims to provide temporary solutions for the home setup as well as equipment and work practice suggestions that carry over to a permanent office setup.
The process for a Remote Comprehensive Evaluation requires employees to complete an online questionnaire that gathers information about their concerns, job tasks, photos of their equipment, and photos of themselves at their workstation. The answers and photos are reviewed by an Ergonomist. The findings and recommendations are discussed with the employee in a conference call. A typed report with specific recommendations for equipment, if needed, as well as appropriate employee work habits and work techniques will be emailed.
In-Person Comprehensive Evaluations
In-Person Comprehensive Evaluations are ideal for people under the care of a medical provider, with a workers’ compensation claim, or requiring reasonable accommodation under the Americans with Disability Act (ADA) or with other challenges requiring the onsite skill of an expert ergonomist. The OneErgoNet ergonomist will meet with the individual at his/her workstation to review and evaluate the job tasks, work processes, work space and equipment. The ergonomist will make adjustments when feasible and provide customized one-on-one training with the individual. A detailed report with the findings and specific equipment and behavioral recommendations will be emailed.
